NEET- (National Eligibility Entrance Test) is an entrance exam organized by The National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBBS and BDS courses in India. NEET exam is conducted to create an umbrella exam for all medical aspirants in India where both AIIMS and JIPMER MBBS examinations have also been merged with NTA NEET. NEET Exam is conducted every year with approximately 16 lakh test-takers.
The NEET exam is conducted offline and in 11 languages — English, Hindi, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Marathi, Urdu Bengali, Telugu, Kannada, and Assamese. The duration of the examination is three hours and a candidate needs to answer 180 questions. A candidate who wishes to study medical courses needs to have Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Biotechnology as their compulsory subjects in Class 10th and 12th and must have passed these subjects. The exam paper is divided into three sections — Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany and Zoology).
